Cristiano Ronaldo’s enduring influence and Ousmane Dembele’s breakout year shared the spotlight as the Globe Soccer Awards 2025 unfolded in Dubai, celebrating the standout performers of the global game.

While Ronaldo was honoured for his impact in the Middle East with Al-Nassr, it was Dembele who claimed the night’s biggest prize, headlining a ceremony that once again underlined PSG’s dominance over the past season.

Organised by the Dubai Sports Council, the awards recognised excellence across players, coaches and football executives. Dembele was crowned Best Male Player after a defining campaign with Paris Saint-Germain, finishing ahead of an elite shortlist that included Kylian Mbappe, Lamine Yamal, Vitinha and Raphinha.

His consistency and match-winning influence made him a clear favourite in a year that belonged largely to the Parisian club.

Ronaldo, now 40, continued to add to his remarkable legacy by winning the Best Middle Eastern Player award. The Portuguese icon was recognised for both his performances and his wider sporting and commercial impact since moving to Saudi Arabia, beating competition from Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez and Salem Al-Dawsari.

PSG’s imprint on the ceremony went far beyond Dembele. The club was named Best Male Club after a near-perfect season, while Luis Enrique was rewarded with the Best Coach award for masterminding a campaign that delivered domestic and European success.

In midfield, Vitinha’s influence earned him the Best Midfielder honour, reinforcing PSG’s control of the major categories on the night.
