England captain Harry Brook has won the toss and elected to bowl first in the T20 series opener against Sri Lanka on Friday, which was reduced to 17 overs per side after a rain delay.

“Looks like a good wicket, so hopefully we can bowl well and chase a score down,” Harry Brook said.

Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka is happy to bat first.

“We’ve been playing good cricket, so looking forward to the series against England,” he said.
