CR to take on Kandy in Inter-Club Rugby League Cup final at Longdon Place today

CR & FC will take on defending Champions Kandy Sports Club in the Cup final of the 2025/26 Inter-Club Rugby League season at Longdon Place this evening (21).
The blockbuster final is scheduled to kick-off at 7:00 p.m. under floodlights.
The Reds led by Lasindu Karunathilaka finished on top of the league table after the super round fixtures with 53 points while Kandy SC was placed second with 52 points.
CR also edged past Kandy in the final super round game played at Longdon Place last week by 17-15.
Kandy SC led by Tharindu Chathuranga will have a mountain to climb today to retain the prestigious league title since the defending champions are yet to taste victory over the Reds this season.
Despite unfavorable weather conditions, both sets of backs are expected to have the bigger say in the outcome of today’s final.
Meanwhile, CR & FC will enter the 2025/26 Inter-Club Rugby League Cup Final as favorites playing at home in front of an expected capacity crowd this evening.
