T20 World Cup: Sri Lanka opt to field first against England at Pallekele

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field first against England in the Super Eight round encounter of the 2026 T20 World Cup at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
Sri Lanka has made two changes to the playing XI from the side that lost to Zimbabwe.
Dushmantha Chameera and Kamil Mishara have been named in the side in place of Kusal Perera and Pramod Madushan.
At the toss, Skipper Dasun Shanaka said he is keen for another chase in Pallekele and he is very confident of his side taking on the English side.
England captain Harry Brook said he would have bowled as well had he won the toss.
