League Champions CR to take on Havelocks in Clifford Cup final

Newly crowned CR & FC will take on giant-killers Havelock Sports Club in the final of the prestigious Clifford Cup Knockout Rugby Tournament at Longdon Place this evening (07).
The game is scheduled to get underway at 6:00 p.m. under floodlights.
CR, who defeated Kandy Sports Club to win the league crown will enter the game as favourites.
The Reds defeated Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Club 29-22 in the semi-final to qualify for the finals. Earlier, they got the better of Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club 29-15 in the quarter-final
Havelock Sports Club stunned defending champions Kandy SC 41-38 in a dramatic semi-final at Nittawela to secure a place in the Clifford Cup final. They defeated Police Sports Club 29-10 in the quarter-final.
While Havelocks is seeking for the first silverware of the season, CR will be hoping to claim a rare domestic double under the leadership of Lasindu Karunathilake at home this evening.
