Sri Lanka Olympic Committee heads to polls with five Presidential hopefuls

The election to appoint officials to the National Olympic Committee for the next four-year term is scheduled to be held today at 4:00 p.m. at the Sri Lanka Olympic House.
A total of five candidates have submitted nominations for the position of President this time.
During today’s National Olympic Committee election, officials including the President, Secretary, Treasurer, and four Vice Presidents are to be appointed.
Five candidates have submitted nominations for the post of President, with Sri Lanka Football Federation President Jaswar Umar, Sri Lanka Shooting Federation Vice President Shirantha Peiris and Sri Lanka Baseball Federation President Asanga Seneviratne among the candidates.
A total of 29 sports associations affiliated with the National Olympic Committee are expected to cast their votes today.
