Tharindu Kaushal picked up five wickets as Pakistan were bowled out for 138 runs  on first day of second test against Sri Lanka at the P Sara Oval in Colombo on Thursday.

A disciplined and accurate bowling from Sri Lanka’s pace bowlers, particularly Dhammika Prasad (3-43) and debutant Dushmantha Chameera (1-33), put Pakistan under huge pressure on the Pakistani top order.

Pakistan elected to bat first after Misbah won the toss but Pakistan batsmen failed to score runs on green wicket. Sri Lankan fast bowlers utilized the conditions very well and picked wickets on regular intervals.

Younus Khan, who was playing his 100th test, only managed to score 6 runs.

Pakistan’s openers could not provide ideal of starts as Ahmed Shahzad departed in the third over. Mohammed Hafeez was the top scorer today with 46 runs.
