Nishantha Ranatunga to contest SLC Presidency

Nishantha Ranatunga has submitted nominations for the post of President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), the Director General of Sports says.
Several other candidates will also submit their nominations within next few days. Nominations for the SLC elections are being accepted from November 24 to December 04, 2015.
Ranatunga is a former SLC Secretary who was removed along with other board members including President Jayantha Dharmadasa before the government appointed an interim committee.
Former cricketer Sidat Wettimuny was appointed as the Chairman for the Interim Committee of the SLC.
