UNP MP Upeksha Swarnamali, admitted that she lacked political knowledge and she has a lot to learn. But she claimed that people need to realize that knowledge is not the only thing needed to do politics but also the goodness of the heart.

She made this statement speaking exclusively to Adaderana yesterday.

“I do have courage, the only thing I lack is knowledge, regarding politics” said Upeksha Swarnmali. She apologized to the people but wanted to remind the people that unlike some politicians she has not committed murder or stolen from the public, or sold drugs or done anything illegal..

“At least in about six months I will be much more equipped knowledge-wise,” she added.

She also said in politics the slightest mistake is a crime and that dealing with the media is a big challenge. She added that after the 360 interview with Derana in June she was very upset and shut herself off for about 3 days.

“I am hoping to face 360 again in the right time,” she assured.
