Jaffna Kings enter LPL finals in rain-hit semi-finals

Jaffna Kings registered their name in 2022 Lanka Premier League (LPL) finals, beating Kandy Falcons by 24 runs according to the Duckworth Lewis theory in a rain-affected Semi-finals today (Dec. 21).

Winning the toss, Kandy Falcons decided to bat first against Jaffna Kings, and scored 143 in 8 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

Chasing a winning goal of 144, Jaffna Kings managed to bag 98/3 in 11 overs, while the rain hit the match.

It was only 75 runs that Jaffna Kings had to have scored according to Duckworth Lewis theory in 11 overs.

Rahamanullah Gurbaz, Avishka Fernando and Afif Hossain took one wicket in each for Jaffna Kings.

However, Kandy Falcons still have the chance of entering into LPL 2022 finals.
