Sri Lanka all out for 278 in 1st innings

Pakistan has bowled out Sri Lanka for 278 runs in the first innings of third test match in Pallekele on Saturday.

Sri Lanka managed to add only 6 more runs in their overnight score.

Yasir Shah proved to be star performer for Pakistan yet again as he picked up another five wicket haul. Fast bowler Rahat Ali picked three wickets while Azhar Ali got two valuable wickets.

For Sri Lanka, Karunaratne played a great knock of 130 runs and remain top scorer for his side. Tharanga scored 46 runs and Jehan Mubarak put 25 runs on score board.

According to detail, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first on green top wicket but Pakistan’s fast bowlers failed to capitalize friendly conditions for the bowlers.

Sri Lanka were only one down with hundred runs on board before Misbah brought in young leggie, Yasir on attack who grabbed three wickets in no time and pushed Sri Lanka very much on the back foot.

Pakistan has made four changes in the playing XI of second test match in Colombo. Mohammed Hafeez is replaced by young opener Shan Masood.

Fast bowler Junaid Khan has also been dropped from third test and is replaced by Irfan Adil. Fast bowlers Rahat Ali and Imran Khan are also part of side while Wahab Riaz and Zulfiqar Baber are not included in playing XI for third test.

Sri Lanka goes into this match without mighty Kumar Sangakkara.
