Ties between the two cricket boards have soured in recent months over the BCCI’s dogged refusal to play in the UAE, which acts as the home venue for the Pakistan cricket team after a 2009 terror attack on the visiting Sri Lankan team.

It is expected the chairmen of the PCB and the BCCI are expected to meet tomorrow in Dubai where it could be decided that the series will be played in Bangladesh or Sri Lanka.

“I have no meeting scheduled with Manohar but if he asks for a meeting then we can meet”, said Khan.

“I would say build on the success of the tour by Zimbabwe to Lahore”, he added.

According to latest reports, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Executive Committee, Najam Sethi, has also reached Dubai.

Manohar told the Abu Dhabi-based The Nationalnewspaper that the BCCI have not received a reply from the PCB on a proposal to play the matches in India. Khan said a final decision on the series will only be taken by the Pakistani government.

The BCCI instead showed its desire to play the series on home soil, but the Pakistan board is unwilling to send their team to India because under the Memorandum of Understanding signed previous year, it’s Pakistan’s turn to host India. We gave an option to Pakistan, asking them whether they will come to India.  -- recorderpress
