The opening ceremony of the Wahalkada at Thanamalwila Thelulla Bodhirajarama Viharaya was held on Monday (04) under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa. He also handed over self employment kits for students who had successfully completed training at the Vocational Training Centre maintained by the Temple. Uva Chief Minister and Kataragama Basnayaka Nilame, Shashindra Rajapaksa also attended the event. (Pix By : Udesh Gunarathna)
