Road Caves In...

Traffic restricted along the bridge across the Mirisgoniya Oya in Kiralawa on the Galkiriyagama-Kekirawa road due to a section of the road caving in. The collapse is believed to have been caused by the water pressure under the bridge as a result of prevailing inclement weather conditions. The area is also said to be a haven for illegal sand mining rackets. (Pic By – Kanchana Kumara Ariyadasa)
