The Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Irina Bokova, who is currently visiting Sri Lanka, visited a number of historically and culturally significant locations in Polonnaruwa including the Gal Viharaya and Vatadage on Sunday (14).
