‘Pindapatha’ to mark 71st National Day…

To commemorate the 71st Nation Day of Sri Lanka, ‘Bala Pawura’, a social service organization from Eppawala, organized a ‘Pindapatha’ (alms begging) program, participated by 100 Buddhist monks from Eppawala area including the Chief Sangha Nayaka for North and Central Provinces, Chief Prelate of Eppawela Keththaramaya Ven. Mahamankadawala Piyaratne Thero.

The ‘Pindapatha’ procession, organized for the 4th time, traveled a distance of 1km, from Yoda-Elagama to Beththaramaya in Eppawala.

This program was joined by the businessmen and resident of the area and the schools Eppawala Sri Rahula Primary School and Eppawala Sri Siddhartha National School. Photos By: Thisara Samal
