Over 200kg of drugs seized…

A local multiday fishing trawler with a stock of over 212kg of heroin and ‘Ice’ drugs (crystal methamphetamine) valued at over Rs. 4,000 million concealed inside, was intercepted in the high seas west of Galle during a joint operation by the Sri Lanka Navy and Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) and Sri Lanka Coast Guard this morning (22).

The special operation mounted about 168km off west of Galle has also led to the apprehension of 05 suspects aboard.
