Budget Speech 2025…

The Second Reading of the Appropriation Bill for the year 2025 (Budget Speech) was presented to Parliament today (17) by the President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance.

The President arrived at Parliament Chamber from the President’s Office in Parliament, at around 10.30 a.m. today, preceded by the Serjeant-at-Arms, as is tradition. The President then presented the Budget Speech until 1.15 p.m.
