Hambantota’s newest attraction…

The newly constructed Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota was declared open today (February 20) to host the Sri Lanka vs. Canada match. The Group A match is not only the stadium’s inaugural match but also Sri Lanka’s first match in the 2011 ICC World Cup. (Pic by Puritha Wijewickrama)
