Unidentified body found floating in Diyawanna Lake

An unidentified body has been found floating in the Diyawanna Lake this morning (20).
The body was spotted by a passerby near the jogging track on the Japan-Sri Lanka Friendship Road, who then informed Talangama Police regarding the matter.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed while he is believed to be around 60 to 65 years old, the police said.
Talangama Police together with the Mirihana SOCO Unit are conducting further investigations into the incident.
