Vishmi Gunaratne smashes maiden ODI century against Ireland

Sri Lanka’s Vishmi Gunaratne has become the first Sri Lanka Women’s player other than Chamari Athapaththu to score an ODI Century in the 1st ODI against Ireland being played in Belfast.

Gunaratne smashed an impressive total of 101 in just 98 deliveries helping Sri Lanka to reach 194/5 against Ireland at the end of 38 overs.

Earlier today (16), Ireland women won the toss and decided to bowl against Sri Lanka in the 1st ODI of the three match series.

Gunaratne blasted her way into the record books with her maiden ODI century and becomes the second Sri Lankan woman to achieve this feat.
