Suspect arrested over Thalangama murder

Police have arrested the suspect over the incident where a person was found murdered after his throat was slashed with a sharp weapon near a garage in the Aruppitiya area of Thalangama this morning (Aug. 18).
The suspect, who has been identified as a resident of the Koswatte area, was arrested in Malabe this evening, police said.
Meanwhile, police investigations have uncovered that the murder has been carried out over a monetary dispute.
A 45-year-old three-wheeler driver was found murdered, with his throat slit near a garage in the Aruppitiya area today.
The victim has been identified as a resident of the Thalawathugoda area, according to police.
Thalangama Police is conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
