Man hacks son to death, injures wife in Borupana

Police have launched an investigation into the murder of a person in the Borupana area in the Mount Lavinia Police Division.
The murder had taken place last morning (11) after an individual had attacked his wife and son with a sharp weapon over a family dispute that had escalated.
The woman who sustained injuries from the incident has been admitted to the Kalubowila (Colombo South) Teaching Hospital.
Meanwhile, the deceased is a 26-year-old resident of the Borupana area in Ratmalana.
The suspect who had committed the murder has fled the area and Mount Lavinia Police is conducting further investigations to arrest him.
