Anura leads in Gamaha and Puttalam postal votes

The postal vote result of the Gampaha District in the 2024 Presidential Election has been released by the Election Commission.

National People’s Power (NPP) candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake has received the highest number of postal votes in the district with a total of 33,226 postal votes.

Anura Kumara Dissanayake – 33,226(65.68%)
Ranil Wickremesinghe – 9,116 (18.02%)
Sajith Premadasa - 6,383 (12.62%)
Namal Rajapaksa – 943 (1.86%)
Dilith Jayaweera - 441 (0.87%)

Meanwhile, Dissanayake has also topped the postal vote result of the Puttalam District securing 8,614 postal votes.

Anura Kumara Dissanayake – 8,614 (59.72%)
Sajith Premadasa - 3,044 (21.11%)
Ranil Wickremesinghe – 2,335 (16.19%)
Namal Rajapaksa – 219 (1.52%)
Dilith Jayaweera - 58 (0.4%)
