28 injured in head-on collision between two buses in Avissawella

Two private passenger transported buses were involved in a head–on collision this afternoon (22) near the Dewrum Pitiya bend in the Avissawella police division, injuring around 28 people who were subsequently hospitalized.
The injured persons have been admitted to the Avissawella Base Hospital, while it is reported that three of them are in critical condition.
The collision had involved a private bus traveling from Colombo to Embilipitiya and another private bus plying from Ratnapura to Colombo.
