Suspect arrested with stock of commercial explosives in Bandaragama

A suspect was arrested in Bandaragama for the illegal possession of a large stock of commercial explosives, police reported. 

Acting on received information, authorities conducted a raid in the Gungamuwa area, where the suspect was apprehended.

The seized items included 4 water gel sticks, 890 grams of gunpowder, over 21 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, 56 detonators, and 250 meters of detonation cords.

The suspect has been identified as a 57-year-old resident of Gungamuwa, Bandaragama.
