Three cops arrested for soliciting bribe from female tourist

Three police officers attached to the Kollupitiya Police Station have been arrested for allegedly soliciting a bribe from an Austrian female tourist on the pretext of not taking legal action against foreign cigarettes in her possession.

Police said that accordingly, a Sergeant and two Constables have been apprehended for allegedly demanding Rs. 50,000 from the female tourist.
