Suspected Indian fisherman body found in Jaffna beach

An unidentified body has been discovered behind the Urikadu army camp in Valvettithurai, Jaffna. The body was found washed ashore in the beach about 100 meters behind the army camp today (January 16) morning, Ada Derana correspondent in the area revealed.
Sources at the Jaffna Hospital revealed that the deceased male, presumed to be around 40-45 years old, has the words ‘K. Kuppusami’ tattooed in his left hand.
According to the Valvettithurai police, the deceased person is suspected to be an Indian fisherman.
The dead body has currently been placed at the Jaffna Hospital while the Valvettithurai police conducts further investigations in to the incident.
