Proficiency exams for grade 7 students

The Ministry of Education has decided to conduct proficiency exams for Grade 7 students of all schools. The examinations will be held with aims to provide student aid, Minister Bandula Gunawardena said.


Preparations are being made to establish a fund to grant students who pass the exam with student aid. However the scholarship exam for Grade 5 students will continue unaltered, the Education Minister stated.


Meanwhile the Ministry has also decided to hold a grand students’ procession for Asala Poya with the participation of around 10,000 students.
