VIDEO: Iron barrier re-fixed at Galle bus stand

July 22, 2011   02:31 pm

The iron barrier that was pompously removed from the Galle Bus stand by Galle District MP Nishantha Muttuhettigama has been re-fixed by the Southern Provincial Council.

Yesterday Muthuhettigama ended the private bus operator strike after he personally ordered the removal of certain iron barriers at the bus stand which operators complained was obstructing passengers.

The private bus operators launched the strike on July 20 in protest of these barriers which they considered a serious obstruction on passenger movement within the bus stand.
