At least 87 people died in the attacks—seven when a blast ripped through Oslo’s government headquarters, and 80 at a shooting at a nearby youth camp, Norwegian Police said today.

Dozens more were hospitalized. US President Obama said of the attacks, “It’s a reminder that the entire international community has a stake in preventing this kind of terror from occurring.”

After twin attacks on Friday, Norway is reeling. National broadcaster NRK has identified the suspect in the terrorist attacks as Anders Behring Breivik, a 32-year-old ethnic Norwegian. Though police did not confirm his name, one official said, “It seems it’s not Islamic-terror related. This seems like a madman’s work.”
