Suspect arrested with hand grenade

One individual was taken into police custody in the Egoda Uyana area in Moratuwa for possessing a live hand grenade. The suspect was arrested by a team of officers of the Moratuwa Police last night.
Police stated that the hand grenade found with the suspect was produced in a foreign country.
Moratuwa Police are conducting further investigation on the individual who is scheduled to be produced at court today (04).
