Identification parade postponed in Baratha Lakshman case

The Colombo Magistrate Court today (October 18) postponed the identification parade to distinguish the police constable who was arrested by Police in connection with former MP Baratha Lakshman Premachandra’s killing.
The suspect affiliated with the Mirihana Police, Anura Thushara was present at the hearing today but the identification parade was postponed upon the request of the CID who stated that further investigations were being conducted.
The suspect was ordered to be remanded until November 1 when he will be presented at the identification parade.
The CID stated that another 8 suspects who are believed to be those who were with Duminda Silva at the time of the shooting were being questioned.
