Group of 38 Lankan Pilgrims stranded in Chennai

A group of 38 Sri Lankan Pilgrims travelling to Dambadiva have been stranded in Chennai, India while reports indicate that the owner of the tourism company responsible for organizing the tour had fled with the travelers’ money.

 

The owner of the tourism company based in Meegoda took the group to Chennai and left the pilgrims stranded with no money.

 

The group is currently at the Sri Lanka Maha bodhi Organization headquarters in Chennai.
