Navy arrest suspect with 4.2kg Brown Sugar in Mannar

Naval troops attached to North Central Naval Command arrested a person with 4.240 Kilograms of heroin (“Brown Sugar”) at Thalpadu area in South of Mannar today (December  11).

The arrested is a 30-year-old youth involved in drug trafficking. He was in possession of Rs: 2370/= (Indian rupees), a mobile phone, a credit card and 9 SIM Cards (5- Indian, 4- Sri Lankan) at the time arrest was made, navy media reported. 

The suspect and the heroine are to be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
