Argument leads to double murder in Ja-Ela

Two persons were stabbed to death with a sharp object in Mahawatta, Ja-Ela last night following a heated argument. Ja-Ela Police stated that the suspect has fled the area following the incident.

The victims aged 25 and 28 are residents of Cruisewatta in Ja-Ela.

Meanwhile a man was killed and two others injured in a dispute in the Senehe Pura area in Avissawella.

Three suspects have been arrested by Avissawella Police in connection to the incident which had also taken place due to an argument.
