Laugfs Gas calls for price hike; CAA still considering

The Consumer Affairs Authority says it has received a request by Laugfs Gas Plc regarding revision in gas prices. The Price Control Board is presently considering the request, Consumer Affairs Authority Chairman Rumy Marshuk stated.

A decision will be reached in the coming days after taking into consideration both the gas prices in the global market and the request made by Laugfs Gas, he said however adding that so far no conclusion has been reached whether to increase prices.

He further stated that a decision is expected to be taken in a manner which will not inconvenience the public.
