Price of imported milk powder increased from midnight

A 400g packet of imported milk powder will be increased by Rs.61 to a new price of Rs. 325, and 1kg pack will be increased by Rs.161 to a price of Rs. 810 from midnight today Minister of Cooperatives and Internal Trade, Johnston Fernando stated today at a press conference.
A 15% tax or a maximum of Rs.92 per kilogramme has been imposed on
imported milk powder except for infant milk powder, the Finance Ministry
stated.
