Police recover largest stock of C4 explosives

A large quantity of C4 explosives has been found hidden in the Pudukuduirippu area and is believed to be the largest stock of explosives recovered so far.

The stock includes 49 packages of C4, each weighing 50Kg, and 152 packages of C4, each weighing 25Kg, and was discovered in the Wetern forest area of Pudukuduirippu following a special search operation carried out jointly by officers of the Gampaha and Colombo Special Bureaus, Kilinochchi police station and army personnel.

In addition to stock of C4 explosives, which police believe to be the largest stock of explosives recovered so far, 21 hand grenades, RPG ammunition and a T56 barrel have also been found.

A special police team is conducting investigations regarding the finding. (AdaDerana)
