Puttalam and Greater Colombo DIGs switched

Two Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGs) have been transferred with immediate effect according to service requirements, Police Headquarters informed today.
DIG E.A. Edirisinghe has been transferred from Puttalam District to Greater Colombo, replacing DIG DIG I.M. Karunaratne who has been appointed as DIG in charge of Puttalam District.
The transferred have been ordered by Inspector General of Police (IGP) N.K. Illangakoon.
