Pallekele prison escapees arrested

Two prisoners who escaped from the Pallekele Open Prison Camp have been apprehended by the Alawathugoda Police.

One of the suspects was arrested over murder charges while the other had been arrested for theft and detained at the open prison at Pallekele.

They were nabbed in Delgasgoda area in Alawathugoda, police said adding that the prisoners will be produced at Kandy Magistrate’s Court today.
