Animal sacrifice will not take place this year – Chief Priest Kali Kovil

The Chief Priest of the Munneswaram Bhadrakali Kovil told Ada Derana that the animal sacrifice event will not take place this year. He added that this decision was taken after the request made by President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Earlier today President Mahinda Rajapaksa has requested that the animal sacrifices not be made especially during the exposition of the sacred Kapilavastu relic.
