90% of people take medicine daily - Health Ministry

The Health Ministry has stated that 90% of the people in this country take some form of medicine daily. In Government Hospitals alone, roughly 45 to 50 million Paracetamol pills are needed monthly, with roughly 570 million needed per year.

 

Aside from this some people tend to take medicine from private institutions. The Health Ministry further stated that many people who take medicine without a proper prescription tend to have complications.
