Woman alleging torture in Saudi hospitalized

A 37-year-old woman from Benthara who claims she was subject to torture by her employer while working in Saudi Arabia has been admitted to the Balapitiya Hospital upon returning to the island.

The woman, who had served in Saudi for over 2 years as a domestic worker, was hospitalized with injuries to the head and burn wounds inflicted in her hands.
