Five given death sentence over 1999 double murder

Moneragala High Court today handed the death sentence to five persons over the double murder at a UNP meeting in Bibile. The accused had shot and killed two persons at a UNP party rally in Bibile in 1999.
The rally which was attended by UNP MP Ranjith Maddumabandara was held at Galkumbura, Bibile.
