Three nabbed after police raid illegal liquor brewery

An illegal liquor brewery secretly operating in the Welimaliuwa area in Kalagedihena was raided by the Panadura-Walana Central Anti Vice Striking Force (CAVSF).

Three suspects were arrested following the operation carried out on information received. The suspects had been engaging in the illegal racket for a long period of time, police said. 

A total of 158 bottles of illicit liquor found at the location as well as various equipment used for the manufacturing of liquor were taken into custody by police. 

Gampaha Police are conducting investigations into the suspect.
