November 18, 2013   10:38 am

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) has instructed all police personnel engaged in CHOGM duties to be given 3 days leave from today, the Police Spokesman said.

Police officers of the rank of Chief Inspector, Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Sergeant and Constable who were engaged in special duties during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, held from November 15-17, have been granted leave.

The decision was taken by the IGP considering the outstanding service rendered by them during that period, the Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.
