VIDEO: Lankan arrested at airport with 50kg of Khat

A Sri Lankan national arriving from Kenya was arrested at the airport with 50kg of the herbal narcotic Khat which is the first time it has been detected in Sri Lanka, Customs officials stated.
The suspect is a 21-year-old resident of the Kochchikade area.
The narcotic herbs were found in two of his bags at the airport, Customs reported. The herb does not grow in Sri Lanka but in the Southern regions of Africa while Europe has banned it.
