VIDEO: Galappaththi resigns from UPFA; son resigns from Matara MC

UPFA Matara Municipal Councilor Chathura Galappaththi has tendered his resignation from the local government establishment while his father Southern Provincial Councilor Justin Galappaththi today resigned from the United People’s Freedom Alliance.

Chathura Galappaththi has already handed over his resignation to the Matara Municipal Commissioner.

Speaking to Ada Derana, Chathura stated that he decided to resign from the Municipal Council in order to pursue a different course of action with regard to his political career.

Meanwhile his father, Justin Galappaththi informed Ada Derana that he too tendered his resignation from the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) this morning.

Galappaththi stated that he will contest the General Election from the United National Party (UNP).
