Officials seize 3200 posters belonging to UPFA candidate

Elections officials have seized around 3200 printed posters, belonging to a UPFA candidate, from the canteen of the Akuressa Pradeshiya Sabha.

 

The raid was conducted at around 10.45pm last night (February 13) after the Matara Assistant Elections Commissioner, Thilina Wickremaratne had received a complaint.

 

The elections officials seized the posters which violated election laws.

 

The posters were then handed over to the Akuressa police.
